Life is fucking shit. Just lost a teacher to cancer after seeing my gf for the first time since she got admitted to a mental hospital, just found out a past teacher of mine who had cancer before has it again in her liver, a family friend lost her mother to cancer, and my aunt’s breast cancer has relapsed. Cancer fucking rips lives apart. I can’t handle all this bull shittery from the world why can’t we ever catch a break?

My mom never really noticed. She noticed when she was breast feeding my little brother and blood started coming out instead of milk.
My mom said she felt and saw a little lump in the shower. She was lucky enough she found it at stage 2
My mom had a mammogram. The radiologist thought the spots were just regular calcium deposits.
Turns out it was triple negative breast cancer that had spread to her lymph nods. Mastectomy, radiation and chemo saved her life.
This could SAVE a life.

I lost a friend last year to breast cancer because she ignored the lump she found in her breast while showering. Don’t ignore it, see a doctor and get it checked before it becomes too late.
My aunt ignored the tenderness and swelling of her lymph nodes. Please pay attention to your body! They thought they caught it in time but it had spread to her lungs. PLEASE check yourself. It hurt to see my cousin get married without her mom being there.

did i ever tell ppl about the time me and my family thought my older brother was gay and dating his best friend? they used to hold hands and cuddle and shit all the time and cause my brothers super quiet we kinda just thought that was him coming out and didn’t really say anything about it. this went on for maybe two yrs and then one day he arrives home with this girl and is all ‘id like you guys to meet my girlfriend’. at this point everyone is ’????’ and my mom is literally crying and like ‘u broke up with James?!?!?!’ and honestly I’ve never seen a man more confused in his life and yeah that’s the time my family fucked up for like 2 yrs

i’ve not really got the words to comprehend what happened yesterday in Vegas. I’m writing this in tears, similarly to how overwhelmed i was feeling after the atrocities in Manchester. It breaks my heart that I have to say this again. concerts are meant to be SAFE spaces. a healthy outlet to problems you may have in your life. and absolutely nobody has the right to take that away from anyone just innocently enjoying themselves. not for anyone. nobody deserves to innocently go to a concert and not come home. no parents deserve that. nobody of any religion or ethnicity has the right to do that.
and as for the media calling this a ‘mass shooting’. yes, but it does make me wonder why it’s not called an act of terror. is it because the bastard who did it doesn’t fit the stereotypical image of a terrorist? it’s wrong. you can’t tell me that over 600 victims and their families aren’t going through terror.
as Tom Petty once said, “music is the only real magic i know.” another soul lost too soon.
